We routinely need to carry out maintenance work on our network. This work is required in order to improve our network infrastructure and ensure continued high levels of resiliency and reliability.
A network core switch upgrade will be carried out on Wednesday 27 February 2019, between 20:00 - 22:00pm
Services at risk: VoIP Services.
Impact: Your services should remain completely usable throughout the maintenance window however the work does carry a low risk and an interruption to services listed above could possibly be experienced.
Each of our servers are connected to our network via two independent Brocade Switches. This maintenance work is to replace Switch 4 at our Volta Data Centre location with a new 48 port Brocade Switch.
We have already done some lab-testing and from our tests, we noticed just 1 or 2 packet drop when we power down a core switch, therefore we do not believe customers will notice any issues.
There could be a couple of periods within the maintenance time slot when you may notice 1 or 2 packs drop.
