We routinely need to carry out maintenance work on our network. This work is required in order to improve our network infrastructure and ensure continued high levels of resiliency, reliability, and scalability.
We will be shutting down London LINX 1 for up to 30 minutes to enable us to make some Switch Port changes. to allow customer servers to burst up to 10Gpbs of bandwidth / speed on selected services.
Before we shut down any peers, we will divert the traffic via London LINX 2 and our IP Transit providers to ensure continued service.
We do not expect customers to notice any impact on service. The actual work providing there are no issues will take around 5 minutes, but we are allowing 30 minutes to be safe.
Once the work is completed, we will restore the peering and restore the original routing.
